Investment Fund for Student Housing Fonds d’investissement pour logement étudiant (FILE)

The FILE is propelled in particular by institutional investors, including the Fonds immobilier de solidarité FTQ and Fondaction. It is administered by the Fiducie du Chantier de l’économie sociale.
The Popular University Student Housing (PUSH) Fund
8.9 million dollars
The PUSH Fund (Fonds CLÉ - FR) is a non-profit revolving fund whose primary mission is to pool associative investments in social economy housing projects for Quebec’s student population. It has a capitalization of over $8.9 million, currently sourced from donations by student associations. To date, the PUSH Fund has contributed to the development of nearly 1,000 student housing units.
